Today, we mark 25 years under the ownership of Al Anderson at our current location within the City of Buffalo, Minnesota. It was on August 28^th in 1989 that Al Anderson purchased the Power Components Division of Washington Scientific Industries (WSI), which had previously purchased our forbearer in 1973. The original Von Ruden company has roots dating back to 1946, through various ownership changes.

While transitioning back to our first identity as Von Ruden, it was important to find a location that would meet our current and future needs. Wright County (also home to our previous owner, now known as WSI Industries) had everything we needed to get a new start, and the City of Buffalo has continued to support our growing vision through the years.

Remaining true to our brand and our customers, we continue to design and manufacture mechanical power transmission and hydraulic drive components. In 2001, we added driven tooling capabilities for the machine tool market. Under the current leadership of President Brandon Anderson, Von Ruden has achieved a customer retention rate above 99%, and an employee retention rate over 96%. Clearly, we’re doing something right.
